For me, yoga has always been much more than the physical practice. It has been a journey of discovering myself, learning to listen, breathe, slow down, and find balance, both on and off the mat.
My yoga journey started in the late ’90s, and I’ve never really stopped. Being a bit of a globetrotter gave me the opportunity to experience different traditions along the way, from Ashtanga to Iyengar, to Hatha and to Aerial (Wing Yoga) to Restorative Yoga. Eventually, spending more time in Asia and India, my love for Hatha Yoga, meditation and pranayama really grew.
Kundalini came into my life as a very special addition to this journey. While I was in Mexico in 2012, I attended a Kundalini festival in Tepoztlán, a beautiful town that is part of Mexico’s “Pueblos Mágicos”. It was love at first sight with such a powerful practice, and from that moment Kundalini became part of my life and has never left. Years later, I was blessed to train in India with Guru Gurmukh, and through Kundalini I discovered another beautiful way of working with the body, breath, mind and energy.
For me, Kundalini is not about being perfect in a posture. It is about becoming more aware of what is happening within us, using movement, breath, meditation, mantra and stillness to connect with ourselves on a deeper level.
My classes are a combination of strength, mobility and flexibility, always guided by the breath. The practice ends with a deep final relaxation, accompanied by the vibrations of the Gong, creating a space to simply let go, integrate and be. Above all, I hope my classes give you a little space to reconnect with yourself, release what you no longer need, and leave feeling more grounded, clear and alive.
I’m a Yoga Alliance recognised teacher (RYT 500, E-RYT 200, YACEP), originally Italian and finally rooted in Madeira.
One of the most important things I like to share is that I’m still a student myself. Yoga continues to teach me, surprise me and bring me back to what really matters. When we learn to breathe, listen and slow down, we begin to hear what we truly need. It is not about finding something outside of you — it is about awakening what is already within you.
